Primary Language Program

Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC) is a federal government-sponsored program.  Classes are designed to provide the basic skills newcomers need to function on a day-to-day basis in their new life in Canada, and to further reach personal and employment goals.  Teachers base ESL classroom lessons on real life situations that students will encounter in their new environment.  At the same time, they help students develop listening, speaking, reading and writing skills.

Multicultural Childcare Program

Multicultural Childcare program centre provides quality care for immigrant children and Canadian-born children of refugees and immigrants.  It is a place where children too can learn develop.  The program promotes respect for all traditions, languages and cultures.  Children learn through free play, field trips and structured activities that are based on various themes.  Activities are designed to stimulate creativity, develop social skills and enhance early childhood development.  Activities are also based on the many different cultures in our community, with parents often involved in the planning of programs and special cultural celebrations.

Stage 1 English Program

Stage 1 English Program is a provincially-funded program offered primarily to temporary residents (Work Permit Holders and Provincial Nominees ),  international students and their spouses and Permanent Residents that cannot go to other English classes. The program follows the Canadian Language Benchmarks Curriculum guidelines. The ESL instructors tailor lessons taught to newcomers to reflect real life situations, day to day functions, education and employment goals and to develop their listening, speaking, reading and writing skills.
