What is the International Women ‘s Business Hub?

A place for talented immigrant women to come together and develop their skills under the guidance of business professionals.

You can reach your full potential with access to resources specifically designed to help you succeed – a fully equipped commercial kitchen, sewing machines, mentorship, childminding and more.

How do I join?

Attend an Information Session to learn whether this program is for you. If you have a solid idea for a product or business and meet the eligibility criteria, you will be invited to present your idea to our panel. Based on your presentation, our panel members will decide whether to admit you to the program.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Eligible to work in Canada
  • Immigrated to Canada within the last ten (10) years
  • Either a Permanent Resident or Canadian Citizen
  • English language level CLB 6+
  • Have the technical skills or certification required for your business
  • Have an entrepreneurial attitude
  • Available to participate in a full-time program for 12 months

Application Process (from July 30-August 30, 2019)

     1. Register for and attend an Information Session:

  • Mark your calendar - August 23, 2-3 p.m.

     2. Pick up an Application Package at the Info Session or Click Here

     3. Complete and submit the application by August 30

     4. Successful applicants will be contacted on or before September 9 to arrange for an interview and presentation to our panel.

Expected program start date - September 24, 2019

How will I benefit?

Successful applicants will receive hands-on instruction from industry experts during the 12-month program. We start with 3-5 months of classroom instruction, taking place 3-5 afternoons a week for 2-3 hours per session, followed by one-on-one mentorship and guidance from established business professionals. Through this program, participants will be shown the most efficient ways to make their products a reality and compete effectively in the local market. Participants will also have access to our commercial kitchen, sewing machines and other practical resources at reduced rates.
