Volunteers are a vital part of our organization.
Volunteers provide valuable assistance to staff and a link to the community for newcomers. Through their efforts and time, the settlement experience of most newcomers to Saskatoon is made smoother and less difficult.
For non-newcomers to become a volunteer at the Saskatoon Open Door Society, the steps are:
1) Register to attend an information session by emailing:
2) Complete reference checks and criminal record check
3) Complete an application package provided during information session
4) Attend program-specific training
