On Saturday, March 16, we will go to the Linklater Lodge, Whitecap on Indian Hill for a sweat lodge ceremony.
A sweat lodge ceremony is a sacred Native American tradition. Participants gather in a small, dome-shaped structure made of natural materials like wood and covered with blankets or skins. The sweat lodge represents the womb of Mother Earth, and the experience is often described as a spiritual purification and renewal. It’s a time for reflection, prayer, and connection with oneself, others, and the natural world.
