Congratulations to Haidah Amirzadeh, the President of our Board of Directors who has been nominated to receive a Women of Distinction Award; the Community Building Award. The Community Building Award "recognizes individuals whose work inspires, motivates and helps others, building a better community".

Haidah arrived as a refugee to Canada twenty-five years ago and as a new mother, earned a law degree from the University of Saskatchewan College of Law. She is now a lawyer and advocate practicing Immigration and refugee law.  She is an active member of the community and has been involved with the Community Legal Assistance Services for Saskatoon Inner City Inc. (CLASSIC) and is a founder of the Persian Community Association of Saskatoon.

We are very proud to have Haidah contribute her expertise and skills to the Saskatoon Open Door Society Board of Directors. Congratulations Haidah on the nomination!
