The Employment Services Unit recently invited employers to an intimate evening of excellent food and elegant scenery at The Willows in appreciation of the employers’ role in providing jobs to newcomers in Saskatoon.

About 50 Saskatoon employers attended the event. Two of SODS clients, Safikul Islam and Alexander Arav, talked about their successful job-search experience and encouraged employers to continue giving job opportunities to newcomers like them.

The emcee for the night, Lynn Williams, thanked RBC for their support to Open Door Employment Programs and presented the RBC Computer Lab door sign that will go into one of the computer classrooms.

Through the support of the employers, Open Door Society was able to assist 1,111 clients and 553 of these clients obtained jobs in 2013!  To our valued employer-partners, for all these great things that you have done for our clients and for the opportunities that you will continue to provide them, we salute you and thank you on behalf of the entire staff and clients!
