Saskatoon Open Door Society News

Thanks to the creativity and hard work of Mark Sin, Robyn Robertson and Bobby Hill, the Good Earth Family Community Garden in Meadowgreen is getting a much needed garden tool shed. Mark, Robyn and Bobby  approached the Open Door awhile back and proposed the idea of building something in the garden. They and their team offered to look after fundraising, contracting, designing, building...you name it! Of course we said "Yes, please!"

Thanks to the City of Saskatoon and CHEP, the Good Earth Family Garden was created six years ago. It was such a success that a second garden, the Meadowgreen Community Garden, was built three years ago. Meadowgreen actually received an Orange Thumb nomination from Fiskars and because of this, received it's own shed, table, bench, etc.

We are so thankful to Mark, Robyn, Bobby and all the others who are making this shed a reality.  Everyone is always welcome at the garden! Come on out and see what we're growing!
