Musab Ibrahim, a member of the Saskatoon United Soccer Club, was honored this year with the Max Pedersen Memorial Fairplay Award. Musab is originally from Eritrea and came to Saskatoon with his family in April of 2015. He is 13 years of age.

In March of 2015, a month before Musab came to Canada, the Aurora Soccer community lost one of it’s own---a young man by the name of Max Pedersen. This year, the Aurora Soccer Club and the Harder Avalon Classic Tournament Committee decided to honour his memory by awarding one youth male player and one youth female player at the tournament. Musab demonstrated great sportsmanship, hustle and determination and was nominated by his peers on opposing teams during the tournament.
