It’s National Volunteer Week!

Volunteering is part of the Canadian identity. Each year, Canada celebrates and honours its volunteers during National Volunteer Week. It is also a time to reflect on what it means to give and help others.

To our Open Door volunteers – THANK YOU for contributing your time, talents and energy!

Each year, over 300 volunteers contribute approximately 20,000 hours of volunteer time to the Saskatoon Open Door Society. Together, we work to ensure that refugees and immigrants are welcomed in our community, are connected with the resources they need to strive and grow, and feel they truly belong.

Enjoy National Volunteer Week (April 15 – 21, 2012), and know that you are appreciated every day of the year!
