Saskatoon Open Door Society News

The Saskatoon Open Door Society will again be hosting a 2014 Summer Fun Program. This wonderful program allows newcomer children to have the opportunity to attend a variety of excursions in Saskatoon that will familiarize them with the City. Excursions include the Western Development Museum, The Saskatoon, Public Library, and the Saskatoon Fire Department, among others. They will also spend time in the classroom practicing reading and writing skills.

Registration for the program is on June 30th in the playroom at the 1st Ave location (in the basement). Our program co-ordinator, Kelsey Pragnall will be there from 9am - 1:00pm and 3:30 - 6pm.

The July session runs Monday-Friday from July 9th – July 31st . The program runs from 9am-3pm on those days. The July program is open to all children who are new to Canada.

The August session runs from August 5 – August 29th. This session is mainly for children whose parents attend the LINC program. If there is room however we will allow others to join as well. There will be a morning and an afternoon group in August each holding about 25 children. The morning program is from 9am - 12 pm, and the afternoon is from 12:30 pm – 3:30 pm.

Please see the attached poster for details on the Saskatoon Open Door Society Summer Fun Program.
